I moved the San Francisco Bay area in 1985 because I loved it and because my grandmother lived in the city. My grandparents had lived her on and off for most of their adult life. My grandfather was a general and served in many international locations, but when they were stateside,
they lived here. My grandfather served as commander in chief of the San Francisco Presidio for a short period of time, five years I believe.
He was 82d Airborne Division and like to jump of planes with a parachute.
Myself, I am afraid to fly, I consider it Russian Roulette. I have forced myself to overcome it for the visuals. There is nothing like a birds-eye view.
It reminds me of the line in "Out of Africa" when Isak Dennyson (Merril Streep) says of Denys Fitchatten (Robert Redford) taking her flying that is was
how God intended us to see things. I probably have the just of it, if you know the line verbatum let me know.
I have been photographing the beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area for years. I am often hired to photograph for the maritime industry,
architects, contractors, event planners, real estate agents and private parties. I love a trip in the helicopter.
I have been chartering helicopters for my own collections over the years. I posted some short clips on Youtube.com last year
and they were very popular. I decided to make this online magazine so I could share more of the aerial views I have been lucky enough to see. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the tour.
